Purple Steampunk box by Katie Lamb

Hello wonderful crafter's

Tonight is the last round of blogs from our DT, if you have been following them over the last 6 months you will have seen some stunning projects and its so exciting to see my own designs & procured products used within them.

Tonight its Katie & Priya's turn to take centre stage and show you their projects, both with a steampunk theme.

Huge thanks to Katie for all the designs and shares over her time with me. Its fair to say she's a massive steampunk fan and its been fun to see what creations are coming next. 😁

1st up here's Katie, proving that you don't have to use browns & and blacks when making a steampunk project.

All the products used are at the bottom of the blog.

Its my last project for Artful Days and its been a lot of fun.

I started with a wooden box and painted it with gesso

Glue all the pieces onto the box and paint a few coats of black paint or gesso over the top.

Layer more pieces over the box lid and paint with black paint.

Once dry sprinkle on micro beads

Next use Lindy's Magicals to add the first layer of colour.

Paint the rest of the box with purple metallic paint.

Thanks Katie :)

If you have any questions about this or any project on the blog please do ask, we are more than happy to help.

Thanks

Jules xx
