2. Tear some pieces of Tim Holtz tissue paper and glue to the canvas with Deco-page medium.

3. Paint the MDF clipboard with blue paint and once dry apply modelling paste through the stencil.

4. Paint the MDF circle and resin stars with black paint. Once dry paint with Twinkles glitter paint.

5. Apply silver Inka Gold to the stars, resin winged heart and the Scrapiniec Use your wings chipboard words.

6. Glue the clipboard to the canvas, then glue the MDF circle frame to the clipboard.

Altered Heart Tray for Valentines by Katie

Hello Crafter's

Katie has made a stunning heart, which is just perfect for a Valentine's day gift.

So I started by coating a wooden tray heart with Prima White Gesso and then mixed the gesso with Rose Red Brusho Powder which was then painted over the first coat.

Mix Rose Red with crackle paint and apply to the base of the tray.

Next stamp over the base with a texture stamp.

Use a hot glue gun to adhere a string of LED lights around the tray, you can usually pick these up from Pound shops and they come in different colours.

I then carefully glued the hessian ribbon around the edge to hide the wires.

Create a heart pillow by cutting out a heart shape using a nesting die and then dying it with ink.

Sew and stuff it and glue it to the corner of the tray.

Glue a resin Lacey heart to the centre.

Gather an assortment of flowers and start gluing them around the inside of the tray. I used, the cupped fabric flowers, the large orange & cream daisy flowers, red bead flowers, white fabric flowers and some small flowers from my stash.

Use a couple of small assorted keys to finish the project.

With the lights turned on, it makes a great focal point for a romantic dinner.

Ooh, I so love the texture and effects from the Brusho in the bottom of the tray, it just sets off all the embellishments used.

Valentines Day Card by Katie Lamb

Evening Crafter's

Katie is planning ahead with this cute little shabby chic Valentines day card for next week.

Start by covering a card with patterned paper and then use a texture stamp over the card and then use the clocks stencil mask over the base of the card.

Add a few strips of paper, Corrugated card, and Hessain. Add Prima White Gesso and then paint and ink to match the colour scheme.

Cover the chipboard heart with a circle stencil and then paint.

Paint the Scrapiniec lace heart white and then glue to the centre of the chipboard heart.

Paint one of the resin cherub in gold paint and add to the card.

Decorate around the card with clusters of red bead flowers pink pearl art balls and white pearl art balls.

Finish off by adding one of the words from the Scrapinenic brush art script chipboard word

What a great card, different from just using traditional reds, very shabby chic indeed.
