Sandra is back with her final blog post using the November Goodie Box, bless her, working with a poorly hand as well. Get well soon :)

• Paint your papermache hanger with white gesso
• After drying, ink the edges with dark brown ink.

• Cover one of the wooden stags and the Scrapiniec Christmas Sketch decors with embossing ink and heat emboss it with brown glittery embossing powder.
• Add a piece of hessian and lace ribbon vertically in the centre of the door-hanger.

• Glue the embossed chipboard swirls in the upper left and lower right corner, and the stag in the centre.
• Thread some light bulbs from the Christmas Lights tin on some thread and put them between the stag's antlers.
• Take three resin stars from the Resin stars and stag and use some brown ink on them. Adhere them on your hanger. Finish off your hanger with an Elk glass dome.

Wow I love this door hanger, I haven't tried heat embossing Scrapiniec chipboard before. but I certainly will now.

Christmas Scrapbooking Page by Sandra

Hello Crafters

Sandra is showing us this Fab Scrapbooking page today, made from the It's Yule Goodie Box, With a little Christmas Cutie

• Splatter some green, red and black ink on a piece of kraft cardstock. To speed up the drying process you can heat it with a heat tool if you want, but it's not necessary.

• Apply some structure paste with a stencil around the photo-area. Let that dry again, with or without heat tool.

• Glue a piece of Hessian & lace ribbon across the page
• Cut several pieces of the 7 Dots Studio Yuletide paper, and distress and ink the edges. Arrange them behind your photo in a cluster. 

• Punch a hole in three tags of the 7 Dots Studio Yuletide tags, and thread some red ribbon through. Tie it with a piece of twine. Place 2 of the tags behind the photo, and one in the upper right corner. 
• Take some pieces from the 7 Dots Studio Elements sheet and arrange them around the photo and on the tag in the upper right corner. 

• Put a filigree bronze wrap behind a tag and layer a gold sparkle gem on top.
• Arrange some of the Mulberry flower roses and the White fabric flowers around the photocluster and add some Pomegranate stems. Add a deer charm of the Silver Deer Charm mix to one of the flower stems. 

• Place a Gold star stem behind the tag in the upper right corner, and one in a flower cluster.  Also add the golden star from the Silver deer charm mix in the flower cluster. Finish the flower clusters off with some more Sparkle Gems.
• Finish off the layout with some pearls drops, and let everything dry at least 12 to 24 hours.

Thanks Sandra, this page is so sweet, and I just love all the clusters. Its great that Sandra has used some of the red ribbon which comes round the box, don't forget to use that packaging.

Tartan Tags By Teresa Morgan

Hello Crafters 

Well I am having a busy day loading up products to the website for the Black Friday Sale next Friday, please be sure to check it out. 

Tonight Teresa is back with some Tartan Tags 

1. I was inspired to make some fabric Christmas tags using some of the beautiful embellishments in the November Goodie box. I also had a rummage through September's box and picked out a wooden robin and pretty brass leaf charm.

2. The tartan pieces are actually upholstery fabric swatches that I picked up earlier in the year - they were so festive and tactile, I thought they would work well with the contents of the Goodie Box. I cut some kraft card to fit the backs and glued into place to both cover the sticker and add some stiffness.

3. I cut some of the hessian and lace trim to fit across the tags and glued into place before adding some die cut ovals using the 7 Dots Studio papers.

4. I used some narrow green washi tape to bind my floral elements into a bunch (as I didn't have any florist's tape). I also die cut some foliage using one of my Sizzix dies.

5. I liked the natural wood of the stag's head but wanted to add a bit of interest so used Distress Ink around the edges.

6. I used silicon glue to assemble the tag - adding in an extra pomegranate stem to hide the washi tape.

7. For my second tag I bundled a couple of pomegranate stems with tape as before, and twirled the wire from the flower around a paintbrush handle to create a tendril.

8. Again, I used silicon glue to assemble the elements, tucking the star pick and some die cut foliage behind the die cut oval.

Well I have learnt some thing tonight and that's to tape stem embellishments together, I really never thought of that before, and I even have the tape. Thanks Teresa, I love these tags, the tartan works so well with the goodies from the box.

It's Yule Christmas Card by Jules

Another weekend is upon us, What do you have planned? I am going to the Christmas Markets in Harrogate for the first time and am very excited as they have over 200 stalls to look at :)

So its my turn with a project from this month's Goodie Box

I knew when I was choosing the contents for this box that I wanted to make a DL size Mixed Media card, as I haven't done one for a very long time.

• I start with a piece of mount board slightly smaller than DL size and used the Texture Three stencil from the website with Prima Modelling Paste.

• Next I stamped a Seth Apter stamp in clear sink and embossed with a Glitter embossing powder, to start the sparkly processing, Whilst doing this I also  embossed the Stag head from the box.

• Taking a sheet of the 7 dots Papers I cut and distressed  the edges and covered with Prima's White Gold wax. I stuck this to a thick piece of cardboard for dimension

• Then I starting some laying with one of the tags which also has the wax around the edges and cardboard for more dimension

• Next to be added, where the pomegranate stems, gold star, and some element for the 7 dots Studio sheet. At this stage before I added anything else I splatted white & black paint over the whole project.
• I sprayed the large resin star with black Lindy's and highlighted again with the white gold wax.

• I wanted lots of sparkle, so I took my gold glitter and sequins to dot around the project. I fixed these in place with Prima Soft gel and a paint brush.

• Time to add the finishing items, this included my Scrapiniec chipboard, which I dusted with glitter glue, this was also added to the white flower. The remaining elements and Christmas greeting were added.
• Once everything was dry I attached to a bright yellow card blank.

Stag Wall Hanger By Teresa Morgan

Teresa is first up on the blog tonight with a stunning wall hanger

Stag Wall Hanger

1. Begin by adding some black gesso to the back, sides, and front edges of the paper mache hanger. There is no need to paint the entire front of the hanger as we are going to cover it with some of the 7 Dots Studio papers.

Remove the wooden stick from one of the glitter stars and add a touch of black gesso around the edges, then paint the resin stag with the gesso too and set aside to dry.

 

2. Trim some of the papers to fit the front of the hanger and glue into place. You will have to join two pieces as the hanger is taller than 6 inches, so make sure the join is near the bottom where it will be hidden by the embellishments.

Choose a selection of 7 Dots Studio Tags and Elements.

3. I wanted to add a little 'substance' and dimension to the Tags and speech bubble so I mounted onto greyboard and trimmed to fit. Some Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges blended it in nicely.

 

4. Glue the Tags and Elements into place, and add the arrow to the top edge with 3d foam tape. The greyboard really made a difference to the layered effect. 

 

5. Once the resin stag is dry, apply some gilding wax with your finger to highlight the detail. This made the stag look like it was made from brass, really changing the look from the white resin original.

6. I used some silicone glue to attach the stag, then added the small gold metal star (from the charms pack) to frame the die cut star from the Elements.

7. I added a little more of the gilding wax around the edges of the hanger to tie in with the gold from the glitter star and stag.

And the finished piece.

Ooh I love this project, the papers and elements in the box are so different to the normal Christmas papers and the way Teresa has coloured and made the stag bronze is simply stunning, I want it lol :)
