Autumn Shadows by Reniferove

Evening crafter's

Well there's no getting away from it, the nights are drawing in and the leaves are falling from the trees, Autumn is well and truly here, but as Reniferove shows below it can't be a great time of year to collect natural things to craft with.

All the products used on this project are linked at the end of the blog.

Over to Reniferove

Hello crafty people

From the beginning of autumn, I've been collecting gifts of nature that I find on walks or on the way to the store. I managed to collect acorns, chestnuts, 'noses' from maple trees, and recently even pine cones.

Fall this year is wonderful, gold, warm, perfect for an autumn walk in the woods.
Today I would like to inspire you to go outside to enjoy the great weather and create something wonderful from the found things.

As the basis of my work, I chose a round box with a cut out lid. I decided that it would be perfect as a shadowbox.

I painted the lower part of the box with brown acrylic paint, then I applied a Renesans cracking medium and applied a second colour to the wet surface, changing the direction of the brush strokes. Thanks to this, nice cracks formed on the surface that look like old cracked paint.

I did the same with the upper part of the box, but here the first layer is the DailyArt paste in the color of Jasper, on it I applied a one-component medium cracking from Pentart and acrylic paint in mint color.

I covered small wooden boards with beige acrylic paint, crackle medium from Pentart and brown acrylic paint.

I attached the metal wire mesh to the lid from the bottom and started composing the composition of my work.

I prepared a frame, a bottle, pieces of Lemoncraft paper from the collection 'House of Roses', acorns and other gifts of nature on this prepared substrate.

I add some shine with Prima Marketing waxes in 'Vintage Gold' and 'Ancient Brown' colors.

I did some splashes with gesso from Finnabair and my work was over!

hope that I inspired you to create something in autumn mood and now you must visit the store where you buy the necessary ingredients to create such a work.

Best wishes and hugs!
